Have you ever listened to an insightful lecture or watched an engaging video and later struggled to recall key points? Video notes offer a unique advantage that solves this problem for you.
Compared to traditional text notes, video notes offer several benefits:
Enhanced Memory Retention: By linking notes to specific timestamps in the video, video notes help you retain and recall important information more effectively, significantly boosting your memory and learning efficiency.
Quick Review: You can easily jump to key moments in the video, quickly locate the information you need, making it especially useful for organizing and reviewing lectures, meetings, or course content.
Now, let’s walk through how you can create video notes efficiently in Noteey.
In Noteey, you can easily add Youtube videos or local video files to make notes on them.
Add Youtube Videos: Open the canvas, click "Embed," and enter the video URL to embed the YouTube video into the canvas. Alternatively, you can simply paste the YouTube video URL directly onto the canvas to embed the video.
Add Local Videos: You can directly import local videos from your library or click on “File” in the canvas and select a local video to add it to the canvas.
Directly Add Notes: Select the video on the canvas and click the “Highlight” icon to enter the video annotation page. You can also open a video from the library on the right sidebar and add notes there.
Import Existing Video Notes: If you already have video notes, click the “Import Highlights” button, choose to import a txt file, or simply paste notes from your clipboard.
Export: Click the export icon to export your notes as a txt file.
Copy: Click the copy icon to copy the notes to your clipboard.
Save as local copy: Save the entire project as a local copy, which will allow you to open it on other devices and view both the video and the notes.
Each video note in the library is an independent entity with its own deep link. When you open a video note in the library, you can directly edit it and quickly locate the original video. The note info displays the source video and reverse links for easy tracking.
Additionally, you can add tags to video notes in the library for batch management.
When opening a video note in the right sidebar, you can watch the video and add notes while editing the canvas, supporting split-screen editing.
You can also drag video notes directly from the sidebar onto the canvas for visual organization.
You can insert video notes into cards. By clicking the video note, the video pop-up will open, and it will jump to the corresponding timestamp in the note.
